Getting Back Up helps those living with a spinal cord injury improve their quality of life today by providing goods and services which can help make a difference in someone's immediate situation. Provides individuals with funding for participation in exercise-based recovery programs and the purchase of adaptable products. These programs and products have been proven to greatly improve the physical and emotional well-being of the injured individual. Unfortunately, insurance often fails to provide the tools needed to truly improve one’s quality of life. Getting Back Up exists to help bridge that gap and improve a person’s immediate situation.

Triumph Foundation offers programs that assist a person from the beginning of their injury with the care basket outreach; down the road to recovery getting the necessary goods and services to achieve independence through keep moving forward grant and exchange program; and then assist a person with SCI to reemerge into the community by helping them emotionally through SCI support groups and restore a sense of life and adventure through adaptive recreation activities. The foundation is a force in the community that is a critical resource to people living with paralysis.

Spinal Cord Injury Foundation (SCIF) seeks to enable those living with a spinal cord injury (SCI) to become independent and employable through further education. SCIF provides Educational scholarships to develop a skill set which can be used in a career. Also Mentoring to scholarship recipients who can use advice and assistance in transitioning to a career after an SCI. First Step Foundation is a 501(c)3 organization whose mission is to improve the lives of individuals with spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, and any life-altering injury or disorder by providing scholarships for specialty recovery program called the Neurological Reengineering to enable people to continue on their path to recovery, regardless of any financial constraints. The First Step Foundation helps provide to the cutting-edge, game-changing Neurological Reengineering Program. Our board aims to grow the program, extend its reach, and impact as many lives as we can. Since its inception in 2014, the First Step Foundation has provided over $225,000 in training scholarships and over $40,000 in specialized equipment for the Neurological Reengineering Program.

United Spinal Association United Spinal Association is a nonprofit membership, disability rights and veterans service organization. The mission of United Spinal Association is to improve the quality of life of Americans with spinal cord injuries or disorders. Since 1946, United Spinal Association has been advocating for civil rights for people with disabilities with the hope of maximizing personal independence and quality of life for people with disabilities. They also have a “Help Desk” service and will assist You with Spinal Cord Injury Resources, Guidance, Answers, Peer Support, and Community.

information specialists providing support in over 170 languages. Peer & Family Support Programs fosters peer-to-peer support, via trained and certified mentors. Quality of Life Grant Program focus on programs or projects that foster community engagement and involvement, while promoting health and wellness. Military & Veterans Program (MVP) supports the unique needs of current service members and veterans, regardless of when they served or how their injury was obtained. Advocacy/Policy Programs are designed to not only help individuals advocate for themselves, but also to advance important issues for the greater community of individuals with paralysis.

Freedom To Live Foundation (FTL) provides a “campus living” Independence Training Program for SCI individuals who desire to achieve independence and a better quality of life. Recipients achieve this for themselves by being provided the time, support and collegial-like living environment to learn and practice the life-long, necessary skills that will enable them to manage, direct and take back control of every aspect of their life after leaving rehab, moving home or transferring from a long-term nursing facility. FTL applies all of its energy and effort into finding “what can be” for our recipients rather than merely settle for “what is.”

Challenged Athletes Foundation offers several programs such as: CAMPS and CLINICS that provides support and coaching to individuals who have suffered a traumatic injury. CHALLENGED ATHLETES FOUNDATION GRANT PROGRAM, MILITARY PROGRAMS for the mental and physical well-being of veterans , military personnel and First Responders. The COMMUNITY & EDUCATION PROGRAMS were created in an effort to change perceptions about people with physical challenges.
